Peter McFarland - Premier

Coach McFarland, entering his 4th season with Canes KY Baseball. He has coached the ages 15U - 18U with Canes Ky, Commonwealth Baseball Club since 2018. Also coached Major A's South Lexington for six years, World Series Coach, 3rd place finish and seminfialist. Over 20 years of youth coaching baseball. Works for Meridian Wealth as one of the top financial advisors in the United States.

David Rice - Premier

Coach Rice, founder and owner of the club. Started the club in 2009, has coached at several high schools, including Lafayette, Dunbar and Tates Creek to name a few. He was also the head coach at Richmond Model for two years. He has been instrumental in every child in the club heading to the next level in their future baseball career. His calling card has always been to prepare players as better people and prepare them for life after high school and after baseball.

Brady Marshall - Scout

Coach Marshall, is going on his 5th year coaching with Canes Kentucky Baseball. He also serves on the board as the Coaches Rep. He is currently an assistant coach as well at Bryan Station High School in Lexington KY.

Coach Tamme, after his illustrious 9 year NFL career which includes a Super Bowl, is returning to coach our 15U Premier Team! Coach Tamme a UK Football Graduate, is excited to build on what has been a successful 14U Season!
Coach Brooks, current GRC Head Coach, former Kentucky Wildcat, Pitsburgh Pirates Draft Pick returns for another season as the 15U Scout team coach! He is excited to build on what he has had as a successful 14U Season as well! |

Quentin "Q" Starks - Team Starks

Coach Starks is from Lexington KY, is a graduate of Bryan Station high school. Pitched collegiately at Sinclair Community College in Dayton OH. Has experience coaching at several different levels of youth baseball and served as league president at Northern Cal Ripken. He is entering his 3rd year as the JV assistant coach at Fredrick Douglass High School! We are excited at what Coach Q is bringing to the young men at this age group. . ,

Vince Powell - Team Powell Grover Castle - Team Castle
Coach Powell, is currently a Southeastern Cal Ripken Head Coach, current Slam Head Coach. Associate Head Coach at Middlesboro High School (2009 - 2014) with a 122 - 77 record, signed to play Division 1 Baseball at Morehead State University as a Catcher. Played at Middlesboro High School from 1999 - 2004, was a 2x East/West All Star, KHSBCA Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2004. He is also the son of KHSBCA Hall of Fame Coach Bill Powell.

Coach Castle began coaching in 2002, he has spent over 20 years at Southeastern Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth. Coach Castle has served on the Board at both Southeastern and Tates Creek High School Boosters! He joined the Canes in 2024 as the 12U Coach, has remained to be this year's 12U Head Coach, and is excited to build, develop and recruit his 13U squad for 2026!

Coach Merritt, has coached baseball for the last 15 years, from High School to Middle School, as well as travel baseball. He is the current coach of the Canes 11U, previously he coached the 10U and helped out with 17U.

11U Canes Kentucky Coach
ZacK Mcclease

Coach McClease, played Elite Baseball Club and Tates Creek High School. Most recently he played at Greenville University for the last four years. A four year letterman, with over 80 games played collegiately. Coach McClease was an Outfielder by trade, and has previously coached at KBA last summer with a 16U team. He is extremely excited to start his coaching path with this group of 11U players he is looking to select!

Coach Woolums, is a recent graduate of East Jessamine High School. At East Jessamine he was a catcher by trade and a 46th District All Tournament Team, 1st Team All Region, 2X PreSeason All American. He has played baseball for 17 years and most recently played at Spalding Univerity and Georgetown College.

Russell Mcconville
Coach McConville has been involved with coaching baseball for the last 8 years! He has coached tball as well as coach pitch the last few years! The last two seasons he has developed and coached the JCYB All Star teams for 7U and 8U. Russell is married to his wife Makenzie and they have four children who have all grown up within the baseball community in Jessamine County.
